Shell Energy are at the forefront of technology within the energy suppliers' market. They led the way in 2009 with smart meters which allowed First Utility to provide many homes and 2,000 businesses with accurate and transparent billing methods. Shell Energy aim to reform an industry which suffers from poor customer service and bad practices such as estimated billing and, through this aim, have become a widely used energy supplier.
