Andrew leads our Operational Team and is our expert when it comes to all the ins and outs of car hire excess insurance.
Back in September 2011, Chris Huhne, then Energy Secretary said he wanted to help people save money my making it easier to spot cheaper deals and switch providers. He promised to take tough action against the big six suppliers. He wanted to make it easier to encourage new small firms to enter the market and stop predatory pricing by the big six giving cheap deals to those willing to switch.
He also said he wanted to encourage consumer friendly organisations dedicated to doing the shopping around for consumers "to make sure that you are always on the best deal, even if you do not have the time to check yourself”.
Impressed with his speech, Mark Bower our managing director wrote to Mr Huhne pointing out that such organisations did indeed exist and that had been offering just such a service since 2010. Sadly we received no response and he did nothing. Bye then.
Seventeen months on and those willing to make the effort can still make substantial savings by switching energy suppliers. Over the last two months average savings made using our services were almost £200pa.
