In partnership with WHSmith Samsung Electronics has released the E6 claiming that it is smaller than a hardback for easy transportation and with the ability to store over 1,2 books on the internet.
The E6 also has the inbuilt capability to support handwriting, allowing users to annotate their reading selections, calendars and notes with a special electromagnetic resonance stylus pen.
"We're confident that we've produced a market-leading device that'll be loved by customers of WHSmith up and down the country," said Graham Long, Samsung's IT Business Division vice president.
"Samsung's arrival in to the eBook Reader market is significant as we are bringing unique functionality to this emerging market. The addition of Wi-Fi and accurate handwriting functionality to eBook Reader will take the user-experience to a new level and ensure eBook Readers continue to grow in popularity."
The Wi-Fi connectivity enables the user to download books and newspapers from the WHSmith bookshop wirelessly and share content with other devices such as phones and laptops.
