Autumn is the time to take stock and prepare for an upcoming wedding with an array of bridal shows and wedding fairs taking place tempting brides-to-be with designer goods. If you are planning your wedding day it is urged you compare wedding insurance in case any plans fall through.
The National Wedding Show hit London's Earls Court at the weekend with displays from fashion designer John Galliano.
His one-off bespoke wedding gown gave inspiration to the crowd, as the designer showed off the design he created for his god daughter Elizabeth Husband who married Oliver Hawksley in Gibraltar in 196.
The National Wedding Show is the UK's largest collection of wedding dresses with a catwalk featuring the new designs in bridal wear.
A new online Wedding directory has also been launched with the aim of creating an accessible means of investigating specialist wedding companies.
Former fashion editor Lynn Walford and Fashion PR Sally Forster, the duo behind the London Vintage Wedding Fair hand-picked each company.
The directory includes Edwardian lace veils to 193's wedding dresses, and recommended florists, seamstresses for alterations, fabulous venues, catering, vintage crockery, plus those added extras that make a wedding day special and unique.
Compare Wedding Insurance
Even if designer wedding dresses and specialist catering is not your thing, a lot of money is invested in a wedding and if any of those hired services you have prepared fall through it is important you have insurance to cover the costs.
There are different policies to suite different types and sized weddings, and even those organising a wedding abroad, so whatever you plan, you can have peace of mind that you are covered.
