It's safe to say the world of travel has been somewhat halted over the last 15 months and now it is open again it's difficult to know what the do's and don'ts are. We've put together our top tips when it comes to travelling and holidaying this year.
This has been a golden rule of travel for a number of years and for good reason too. By ensuring you have cover for when you travel you are protecting yourself against unforeseen events such as cancellation due to illness or loss of items whilst on the holiday itself. Each travel insurance policy differs slightly in its cover and many will exclude protection against COVID-19 so do check that any policy insures you for what you want it to.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the lack of international travel last year, many car hire companies decided to dramatically reduce their fleet size. Whilst there is more fleet available this year than there was in 2020, it's still nowhere near 2019 levels. This means vehicles are being booked up quickly and prices are higher with the increased demand and decreased supply. We would strongly suggest booking your car hire as early as possible to avoid rising prices. You can run a quote here to compare all the major brokers.
Our sister site, Clarify Car Hire, compares car hire and all bookings are on a free cancellation basis up to 48 hours prior to the rental beginning which gives peace of mind in this ever moving situation!
