In less than 4 weeks the whistle will blow to start the first match of the Euros 2024. Host nations Germany will take on Scotland in Munich. If you have tickets and you want a car to get you between matches, to take you to and from the airport or so you can explore a bit more of Germany while you are there, get a quote for car hire in Germany as soon as possible.

Car hire is likely to be popular and getting in early with your car hire booking can ensure you don't miss out. Many people are travelling to the Euros in a group so 7 seater rental cars and 9 seater rental cars can be the first to run out. Book now if you need a larger vehicle.

If you are parking in a crowded car park, it is all too common to find your car gains scrapes, small dents or even a puncture. Add car hire excess insurance to your rental for less than £2 a day so you can claim back any excess and also cover areas such as the glass, mirrors, tyres and wheels, roof and underbody. These areas are often not included in the insurance that may come with your car yet are the most common parts to be damaged.

Car hire excess insurance policies should be bought in the name of the lead driver but these policies will also cover a minimum of 4 additional drivers under the same policy. The additional drivers must be listed on the rental agreement to be covered You can buy a policy in advance and then add the additional drivers at the desk on pick-up if you need to.

The first match of the competition is on the 14th June in Munich and the final will be played in Berlin on the 14th July. Within the month of the championships, matches will also be played in Cologne, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Dortmund, Leipzig, Gelsenkirchen, Stuttgart and Dusseldorf. As well as at the airports, we can provide car hire at all these city locations.

One-way hire can be the answer if you are staying in more than one city. For example, if you have tickets for the opener on the 14th June in Munich and for the Denmark v England match in Frankfurt on the 20th June, you could fly into Munich pick up a hire in central Munich after the match and drive to Frankfurt. Return your car to Frankfurt airport - or a city location - before your flight home.

The Euros start with 6 groups of 4 teams with each team playing the others in their group. The 12 winners and runners up plus the 4 best third-placed teams then enter the knock-out rounds. Whichever team you are supporting we wish you the best of luck!
