As the island is just 33 miles by 13 miles and is right in the middle of the Irish Sea it's a real 'away from it all' place to go.
Visitors will of course see the famous Manx cat - without its tail - and sheep that can have up to six horns, but there is a lot more to see than just the wildlife. However that should not be missed, with whale and dolphin spotting trips being very popular.
In Douglas a favourite place to visit is the Manx Museum and National Gallery, where you can learn about the world's longest continuous parliament and see many items that tell the tale of the island's heritage.
With nine courses on the Isle of Man, golfers can pay a visit to one or more courses during their stay. Mount Murray, Castletown and Ramsey are popular and, with a range of vehicles available, you can easily pick a rental car ready to cart your clubs around.
Many come for the annual music festival called the Mannifest held every August. It's heavily focused on local talent. And of course there is the motorsport.
The world renowned TT motorbike races are held in May and June, with riders roaring around the island at speeds approaching 200 mph. More sedate is the Manx Classic Rally.
Whatever the reason for your stay, car hire will make sure you make the most of your visit and don't miss out on a thing.
