The new first:utility Smart as Standard tariff will bring accurate billing and visibility of energy use on line through the first utility web site and Google power meter.
After a transition period (which will mean customers will need to continue meter readings for a while) the smart technology will soon mean right first time bills every month.
Although not the cheapest tariff in the market considerable interest has been shown by customers who would prefer to be in control of their energy bills.
